Just thought I would leave a note to help others. I had problems with Realplayer Downloader not working after a system restore which should not have affected realplayer.

Nothing I did was working. In the end, I manually went through the Registry Editor and removed anything and everything that had to do with Realplayer you need to view the binary of hundreds of keys because they are not immediately obvious. I then reinstalled Realplayer and now everything is working fine.

Perhaps Real should write a program that removes all related keys for a fresh install because uninstalling leaves hundreds of legacy keys that can prevent the downloader from reinstalling in the registry.
